New driving license system introduced

In a bid to counter fake driving licenses, Inspector General (IG) of Sindh Police, A D Khawaja has introduced new computerised driving license system on Tuesday. The new driving license will be linked with Nadra's online system. Renewal of old license will take around 15 minutes while new license will be issued within 40 minutes.
Citizens could submit license fee in any bank.
Addressing a gathering after inaugurating up-gradation of driving license software and model set-up in Karachi's Clifton area, IG Sindh said this move will help to deal with fake driving licenses. Also, one-window operation has made the process less hectic for the applicants. He said latest driving license system will be acceptable in any part of the world.
