At least three persons including a police personnel were killed and three others among them a woman were injured in a firing incident that took place on Joint Road in the provincial capital on Monday morning. Police said that unidentified armed assailants riding motorcycles sprayed volley of bullets on people standing on Joint Road at Passport Office, leaving three of them dead on the spot and three others received bullet injuries.
The attackers managed to escape from the scene. The Eidhi Ambulance rushed to the site and shifted the dead and injured to hospital. According to doctors, the dead received multiple bullet wounds which caused their instant death. The condition of the injured was told to be critical. The injured were later referred to Combined Military Hospital.
