LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday dismissed a petition against acceptance of nomination papers of Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan from NA-131 (Lahore), after declaring it non-maintainable.
The bench comprising Justice Syed Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi and Justice Sardar Ahmad Naeem heard the petition filed by one Jehangir Dogar.
During the hearing, the petitioner's counsel questioning signature of Imran Khan on nomination papers submitted that Imran Khan did not provided accurate details of his family members and concealed assets in nomination papers. He pleaded with the court to reject the nomination papers of Imran Khan while allowing his petition. However, the bench dismissed the petition after declaring it non-maintainable as the petitioner was not an aggrieved party.
