ISLAMABAD: The Senate Standing Committee on Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) Friday was briefed about the attached departments of the IPC ministry and their performance.
The committee meeting, chaired by Mohammad Yaqoob Khan Nasar, was attended among others by Senators Sherry Rehman, Mian Raza Rabbani, Faisal Javed and Abida Muhammad Azeem, besides senior officials of the ministry.
In the meeting IPC Secretary Friday briefed the committee about staff strength, budgetary allocations, properties and scope of the ministry and its attached departments.
In the meeting, Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) officials also briefed the committee about the performance and work of the board. The officials informed the committee that the Prime Minster of Pakistan is the Patron in Chief of the board.
The officials informed that PSB has its headquarters here in Islamabad while centers in provincial divisions.
The headquarters have 501 employees and 661 employees in total including from centers.
