ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader in Senate Sherry Rehman on Thursday strongly condemned a recent attack on security forces in Quetta and said the sacrifices of soldiers would never be forgotten.
During proceedings of the House, she said “We strongly condemn attack on security forces in Quetta in which Col Sohail Abid and two other security forces personal embraced martyrdom”.
She said “ The sacrifices of security forces for elimination of terrorism and extremism will be remembered long.”
The Senators also raised issue of water scarcity in Balochistan. They highlighted the issue of loadsheeding in Balochistan and Khyber Paktunkhwa provinces.
Senator Lt Gen (Retd) Abdul Qayyum strongly condemned firing of Indian forces on Line of Control LoC) and said ministry of defense should brief the House about the incident.
