The Sharif family will be recording their statements in the Avenfield reference on Monday instead of today, as they found some questions from the questionnaire to be 'unclear'.

According to local media reports, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (retd) Safdar appeared before the accountability court today. The defense counsel Khawaja Haris requested Judge Mohammad Bashir to give his clients time to go over the questionnaire sent by the court as they found some questions to be ambiguous.

The National Accountability Bureau prosecution objected to the plea, however, Judge Bashir accepted Haris's request and adjourned the hearing till Monday.

The Sharif family were given a questionnaire in previous hearing, which contained more than 100 questions related to the Avenfield properties. The family were to record their statements as per the questions.

On the request of the prosecution, Judge Bashir had directed Sharif, Maryam and Safdar to record their statements regarding Avenfield reference.
