Irrfan Khan diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumor
After Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan announced that he was suffering from a ‘rare disease’, his fans went in complete shock. In this course of time many tabloids speculated that the actor is suffering from brain tumor but Irrfan has issued a statement today revealing that he indeed has tumor but not a brain one.
The ‘Hindi Medium’ actor wrote a letter on the mini blogging site a few days back disclosing his health issues and promised his fans that he will reveal more information after the ‘conclusive diagnosis’. Today Irrfan revealed the cause behind his health crisis and the disease through his twitter account.
Irrfan Khan to leave for the US amid ‘brain tumor’ rumors
The actor wrote that he has been diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumor and that in this difficult time, the love and support of those around him has given him strength. Irrfan also clarified that even though the disease’s name seems like its brain related, it is not and for those who don’t know what it is, he advised them to google it.
The actor started off with a Margaret Mitchell’s quote, “Life is under no obligation to give us what we expect.”
Irrfan further wrote, “The unexpected makes us grow, which is what the past few days have been about. Learning that I have been diagnosed with NeuroEndocrine Tumor as of now has admittedly been difficult, but the love and strength of those around me and that I found within me has brought me to a place of hope. The journey of this is taking me out of the country, and I request everyone to continue sending their wishes. As for the rumors that were floated NEURO is not always about the brain and googling is the easiest way to do research. To those who waited for my words, I hope to be back with more stories to tell.”
