KARACHI: Acting Consul General of the People’s Republic of China Feng Deheng held a meeting with senior officials of the Sindh Home Department, led by Additional Chief Secretary Home Muhammad Iqbal Memon, at the department’s office on Friday.
The meeting was attended by Special Secretary Home Saeed Shaikh, officials from intelligence agencies, Pakistan Army and the police, other senior officials of the department, and representatives of the Chinese Consulate.
The discussions focused on the safety and security of Chinese nationals in Sindh and measures to further strengthen coordination between the Chinese Consulate and the provincial government.
Participants reviewed the existing security arrangements and emphasised timely information-sharing and effective coordination among all relevant authorities to further strengthen protective measures.
Feng appreciated the cooperation extended by the Sindh government. The additional chief secretary reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of Chinese nationals, further strengthening bilateral cooperation, and reinforcing the longstanding Pakistan-China friendship.
