KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 204,897 tonnes of Cargo Comprising 109,271 tonnes of Import Cargo and 95,626 tonnes of Export Cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The Total Import Cargo of 109,271 tonnes Comprised of63,302Tons of Containerized Cargo ,829Tons of B. Bulk Cargo,4,884 Tons of Chickpeas, 2,170 tonnes of Soya Beans Seeds & 249 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The Total Export Cargo of 95,626 tonnes Comprised of 49,595 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 731 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo, 41,840 tonnes of Clinkers, 2,512 tonnes of Loose Bulk Cement, 699 tonnes of Rice & 249 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
Around, 11 ships namely, Konrad, Msc Loreto, MT Lahore, Marine Ista, Greco Libero, Seaspan Oceania, Gsl Rossi, Dp World Jeddah, Hong Li Yuan Yang, Eva Bergen, & Spade berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Approximately, seven ships namely, Cscl Mars, Liberty Explorer, Seaspan Brightness, No.2 Ocean Pioneer, Montok, Northern Practise, & Senator sailed from Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of nine ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them two ships, Everlasting Grace and Marmara-S left the port on Tuesday morning, while two more ships, Safeen Power and Mostar are expected to sail on Tuesday afternoon.
Cargo volume of 194,085 tones comprising 152,777 tones imports cargo and 41,308 export cargo carried in 6,395 Containers (4,495 TEUs Imports & 1,900 TEUs Export)was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 14 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them two ships, Peonia and Jacob-H & two more ships, MSC Aquarius-VII and Richmond Park carrying Palm oil, Coal, Container and Chemicals are expected to take berths LCT, PIBT, QICT and EVTL respectively on Tuesday 30th June, 2026.
