LAHORE: Lahore Police, during effective operations against criminal elements, arrested 2,210 members of 1,018 gangs.
According to the details, stolen property worth more than Rs397.1 million was recovered from the possession of the arrested accused. The recovered items included 61 tolas of gold, 2 cars, 767 motorcycles, 2,362 mobile phones, 27 laptops and 26 other vehicles, which were handed over to their rightful owners after completion of legal formalities.
CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana said that continuous operations against criminal gangs are underway and all available resources are being utilized to eradicate crime. He stated that the arrest of criminal elements was the result of effective teamwork and professional strategy of Lahore Police.
CCPO Lahore directed that facilitators of the arrested gangs should also be brought to justice to ensure complete eradication of crime. He reaffirmed that making the city crime-free remains a key mission of Lahore Police.
