SSUET organises inaugural session of 4th international conference on IS&CT

KARACHI: Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET) organised the inaugural session of the 4th International Conference on Information Science and Communication Technology (IS&CT), bringing together esteemed scholars, industry leaders, and students to explore the latest advancements in the field of science and technology.

Expressing his views on the conference, Chancellor of Sir Syed University, Muhammad Akbar Ali Khan, underscored that information science and communication technology play a pivotal role in addressing global challenges, enhancing productivity, and fostering collaboration across various sectors. By harnessing the power of information science and communication technology, we can create more informed societies, improve decision-making, and ultimately contribute to sustainable development and societal well-being.

In his keynote address, renowned scientist Prof Dr Attah-ur-Rehman engaged the audience with his insights on “Science and Technology: Engines for Socio-Economic Development.” He highlighted the crucial role of scientific research and technological innovation in driving economic growth and enhancing societal welfare, urging people to break barriers and ask challenging questions to themselves to explore the world with a fresh perspective. Prof. Dr. Attah-ur-Rehman emphasized that the best computer is our brain, equipped with 86 billion neurons, and urged to look beyond conventional boundaries to discover exciting opportunities.

Vice Chancellor of Sir Syed University, Prof. Dr. Afzal Haque, said that the conference serves as a vibrant platform for fostering innovation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing among academicians, researchers, and industry professionals, emphasizing the importance of exploring collaborative efforts in the era of digital transformation.
