LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Information and Culture, Azma Bokhari, in her message on Pakistan Day, said that Mian Nawaz Sharif played a commendable role in making Pakistan’s defence strong and invincible, while the armed forces of Pakistan remain ever ready to protect every inch of the homeland.
“No compromise will be made on national security, sovereignty and integrity, and the entire nation will continue to play its role for the stability and progress of Pakistan,” Azma said.
She said that March 23 marks the renewal of the nation’s pledge to safeguard Pakistan. She stated that “this day reminds us of the unwavering resolve, unmatched sacrifices, and tireless struggle of our forefathers.”
She added that Pakistan Day represents the foundation of a historic struggle through which Muslims achieved an independent and sovereign homeland in just seven years. Owing to the selfless efforts and timeless sacrifices of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Muhammad Iqbal, and their companions, we are breathing in a free environment today, she added.
Azma Bokhari further stated that the vision of Pakistan presented in 1940 has now transformed into a strong, stable, and impregnable state. Pakistan’s defence is robust and fully capable of giving a befitting response to any adversary on every front.
