KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 126,394 tonnes of cargo comprising 73,920 tonnes of import cargo and 52,474 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 73,920 tonnes comprised of 48,489 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 3,965 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo, 1,738 tonnes of Canola, 5,127 tonnes of Dap, 8,374 tonnes of Rock Phosphate & 6,227 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 52,474 tonnes comprised of 24,643 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 705 tonnes of B. Bulk Cargo, 145 tonnes of Cement, 26,239 tonnes of Clinkers, 692 tonnes of Rice & 50 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
Approximately, 03 ships namely, Wan Hai 513, Gsl Christen & Karina Danica berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Around, 06 ships namely Celsius Emmen, Ayrin, Chem Leona, Oocl Le Havre, MT Sargodha & Portland sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
