Child killed, four injured in cylinder blast fire in Karachi

A 15-year-old boy was killed and four others were injured after a cylinder blast triggered a fire in a residential building in Karachi, Rescue 1122 (Sindh) spokesperson said on Sunday.
According to the spokesperson, the deceased was identified as Burhan, son of Aoun, aged 15.
The injured were identified as Fatima, wife of Hunaid, 30; Ansia, daughter of Hunaid, 4; Tasneem, wife of unknown, 70; and Hunaid, son of Fazal Abbas, 40.
Rescue officials reached the scene promptly and brought the fire under control following the cylinder explosion. Cooling and search operations were later completed.
All injured persons were shifted to a nearby hospital after receiving initial medical treatment at the site.
The rescue operation has been concluded, the spokesperson added.
