LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League (N) President Nawaz Sharif met Uzbek Ambassador Ali Sher Takhtayev and discussed ways to enhance bilateral economic cooperation and matters of mutual interest during the meeting.
The Uzbek ambassador delivered a letter from President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to PML-N President Nawaz Sharif. In his letter, the Uzbek president wrote that Nawaz Sharif is a patriotic son of Pakistan who has initiated landmark projects for the welfare of the Pakistani people.
The letter also appreciated the public welfare initiatives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev invited PML-N President Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif to visit Uzbekistan.
