Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has again brought under the public focus its deep concerns about the health of party founder Imran Khan. According to it, Imran Khan is suffering from an ailment that could cause permanent damage to his eye-sight if not properly treated, demanding the government allow Imran Khan’s treatment at a hospital of his own choice.
In my view, the government must come clean about the health condition of Imran Khan immediately in order to forestall the spread of wild speculations or canard about his condition.
In my view, the government must determine through some noted ophthalmologists and neurologists the extent of ailment before it takes any decision in response to party’s demand for his treatment at a “hospital of his own choice”. In sum, the government must be completely honest, and keep nothing hidden insofar as Imran Khan’s eye condition is concerned.
