LAHORE: On the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Chairperson Punjab Women Protection Authority (PWPA) Hina Parvez Butt visited the home of a 14-year-old student who was abducted and sexually assaulted in Lahore’s Gulshan-e-Ravi area.

She met the affected family and expressed solidarity and sympathy over the tragic incident.

The family was assured that the government of Punjab stands with them and that justice will be ensured without delay. Police have arrested the prime accused, while investigations are ongoing in accordance with the law.

Condemning the incident, Hina Parvez Butt said that abducting and sexually assaulting a minor is an act of extreme brutality and an attack on society as a whole. She emphasized that such criminals deserve no leniency and will be punished strictly under the law.

She added that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has issued clear instructions for immediate, transparent, and impartial action in cases involving crimes against women and girls, with zero tolerance for pressure or influence.

The PWPA chairperson assured full legal, psychological, and protection support for the victim and her family, stating that the authority will closely monitor the case to ensure justice. She reiterated that the protection of women and children remains a top priority under the Chief Minister’s vision of a “Safe Punjab for Women.”
