ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday commended the security forces for their successful operation against foreign militants in the Khar area of Bajaur, targeting elements affiliated with the “Fitnat-ul-Hindustan” group.
The operation resulted in the elimination of five militants and was lauded by the prime minister for its effectiveness in dismantling terrorist networks.
In his remarks, Sharif paid tribute to Major Adil Zaman, who embraced martyrdom during the operation.
He expressed deep condolences to Major Zaman’s family, prayed for his soul’s elevation, and commended his sacrifice for the nation’s security.
“The security forces are achieving significant victories in their fight against terrorism under the ‘Azm-o-Istiqbal’ operation,” said Sharif, emphasising Pakistan’s continued commitment to combating terrorism.
The prime minister reaffirmed that the entire nation stands united with the Armed Forces of Pakistan in this critical battle and vowed to rid the country of all forms of terrorism.
