Security forces eliminate 13 ‘Khwarij’ in separate KP operations: ISPR

Security Forces have killed 13 terrorists belonging to the “Indian Proxy Fitna Al Khwarij,” during two separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on December 12 and 13, the military’s media wing said on Sunday.

The successful engagements mark a key action under the ongoing national counter-terrorism campaign, “Azm-e-Istehkam”, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

“On reported presence of Khwarij, an intelligence based operation was conducted by the security forces in Mohmand District. During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the Khwarij location and after an intense fire exchange, seven Khwarij were sent to hell,” the ISPR said.

In another IBO, according to the ISPR, six other Khwarij were neutralised by the security forces in Bannu district.

“Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored Kharji found in the area as relentless counter terrorism campaign under vision “Azm e Istehkam” by the security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country,” it said.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the security forces for eliminating 13 terrorists active under Indian patronage in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The president also paid tribute to the security forces and Balochistan Police for the successful operations against terrorists in Balochistan.

“The protection of Pakistan’s sovereignty is the foremost priority,” he said.

President Zardari also stated that every conspiracy of the enemy will be foiled.

PM Shehbaz said under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, the security forces are achieving major successes against terrorism.

The prime minister emphasized, “In this war against terrorism, the entire nation stands with the Armed Forces of Pakistan.”

He said the entire nation is united against terrorism and is determined to completely eliminate all forms of terrorism from the country.
