KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has extended heartfelt greetings to Sindhis across the world on the occasion of Sindhi Cultural Day, stating that the day represents the identity, civilizational continuity, and collective unity of Sindh. He said that every city, town and street is illuminated with the colours of culture, adorned with the pride of Ajrak and Sindhi Topi.
Nasir Hussain Shah said Sindh’s culture reflects a centuries-old civilization and rich Sufi traditions that promote humanity, love and tolerance. He added that Cultural Day renews the commitment to safeguard heritage and uphold the values passed down through generations. The minister said Sindh’s cultural heritage is the province’s strength and pride, with Ajrak and Topi symbolizing respect, affection and deep-rooted identity. He further stated that the youth of Sindh are acting as true cultural ambassadors, highlighting the province’s positive image across the globe.
He noted that Sindhis living worldwide celebrate their culture with great enthusiasm and respect, and the widespread participation of people in cultural activities is highly commendable. Shah said Sindh’s soil is a cradle of peace, harmony, coexistence and unity, and today the culture of Sindh has become a strong global message of love and humanity. The minister reaffirmed that through its cultural values, Sindh will continue promoting peace, love and brotherhood across the world.
