LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif directed all commissioners and deputy commissioners to ensure full ban on use of one dish, besides taking legal action against illegal use of loudspeakers in Qawwali nights, weddings and other events not only in marriage halls but also in farmhouses and grounds.
The CM also directed them to take steps to put a ban on the use of loudspeakers and loud music in the province. In case of violation of one dish and loudspeakers, officers will not attend marriage ceremonies, and further directed them to strictly monitor compliance of fixed working hours in marriage halls.
Moreover, the CM directed the authorities concerned to remove the Deputy Commissioner concerned from his post while expressing a deep sense of grief and anger over death of a young child who fell into an open manhole in Lodhran. She offered condolences and extended her heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family. She said, “No innocent life will suffer due to negligence of a government official. We will not let it happen”.
