ISLAMABAD: Pakistan reaffirmed its highest-level political commitment to deepening ties with Kyrgyzstan as Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov during his visit to Islamabad on Thursday.
Welcoming President Zhaparov and his delegation, Senator Dar conveyed warm greetings from President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
He said that Pakistan attaches great importance to its partnership with Kyrgyzstan and is keen to advance cooperation across all areas of mutual interest.
During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister also briefed President Zhaparov on his scheduled engagements with Pakistan’s leadership and his interactions with business communities from both sides. He noted that these discussions would focus on expanding broad-based bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade, connectivity, investment, energy, and people-to-people exchanges.
