LAHORE: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Friday extended interim bail of former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry in five May 09 riots-related cases till January 09.
The court also directed Fawad’s counsel to present his arguments on bail petitions on the next hearing. Earlier, the court also accepted one-day exemption for appearance of Chaudhry Fawad on the request of his counsel who contended that Fawad was unwell and admitted to the hospital. All of the cases were registered at various police stations, including Sarwar Road, Race Course, and Mughalpura. Fawad Chaudhry is facing charges for inciting violence, including provoking his supporters to engage in arson and vandalism.
