ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Foreign Office Women’s Association (PFOWA) organised a Multinational Meena Bazaar at the office premises in Islamabad on Sunday to showcase the vibrant cultures of different countries and promote the empowerment of women.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar inaugurated the event and inspected various stalls, noting that the colours of international cultures were prominently displayed throughout the bazaar.

Calling the organisation of the Meena Bazaar commendable, Ishaq Dar said the event provided an opportunity to unite different cultures and strengthen social ties. He highlighted that the stalls representing friendly countries reflected Pakistan’s strong relations with the international community.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar says the government is committed to empowering women and advancing welfare initiatives aimed at improving their socio-economic well-being. He said this while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the Annual Charity Bazaar 2025, organized by the Pakistan Foreign Office Women’s Association, in Islamabad.

He, along with Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch, visited various stalls set up by participating countries at the event.

Ishaq Dar said PFOWA’s commitment to humanitarian causes reflects service beyond duty and the highest values of public responsibility. He said the stalls set up by Pakistan’s friendly countries symbolize cooperation and friendship. He said our faith emphasizes the virtue of giving, and the work of the Pakistan Foreign Office Women’s Association is a testament to this principle in action.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar said PFOWA carries a proud legacy of generosity, extending its support not only to families of the Foreign Service but also to underprivileged communities across the country. He noted that PFOWA has made tangible contributions in the fields of education, health, and social welfare.
