KP businessmen urged to invest in ‘Chinese Commodity City Lahore’

PESHAWAR: Hu Zhuling, President of Hunan Chamber of Commerce invited Khyber Pakhtunkhwa businessmen to make investment in the Chinese Commodity City Lahore.

She made this call while speaking to members of the business community here at the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry here.

The meeting was chaired by the SCCI President Junaid Altaf, while senior office-bearers and members were present on the occasion.

Hu Zhuling, who accompanied Yang Lina and Ali, Directors of the Hunan Chamber of Commerce (HCC) explained the main objective behind the Chinese Commodity City, stating that the city would expand on more than 18,000 square meter, and is likely to be completed by next year.

The Chinese commodity city will be a hub for displaying locally manufacturing products like agriculture, agri-machines, construction, electricity tools/gadgets, and normal life commodities, Zhuling added.

She claimed the city, which is a totally wholesale base, would help to ease difficulties of investors, fast movement of industrial goods consignments, swift services providers and invited the SCCI and KP industries to become partners in this crucial project and to expand business and industries through mutual collaboration and joint ventures.

In order to formalise and expand cooperation, a Memorandum of Understanding was also signed on the occasion between SCCI and Hunan Chamber of Commerce to work jointly for promotion of mutual trade relations, products marketing, taking benefits from common experiences, benefits, objectives, as well as CSR and other various interventions.

The SCCI wants to launch joint ventures with the Hunan Chamber of Commerce as KP has great potential in diverse sectors to expand the mutual trade with China, says President Junaid Altaf and assured the visiting delegation of full cooperation to attract KP investment in the Chinese Commodity City project.
