KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 268,404 tonnes of cargo comprising 171,284 tonnes of import cargo and 97,120 tonnes of export cargo during last 48 hrs. ending at 0700 Hours.
The total import cargo of 171,284 tonnes comprised of 109,708 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 255 tonnes of Bulk Cargo, 5,552 tonnes of Palm Kernel Expeller, 5,733 tonnes of Sugar, &50,036 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 97,120 tonnes comprised of 66,561 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 556 tonnes of Bulk Cargo, 4,403 tonnes of Cement,&25,600 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
Around, 10 ships, namely, Ts Hongkong, Msc Maureen, Sea World, Ruico Sapphire, Portland Ii, Gfs Genesis, Albert P, Kobf Pionier, Cma Cgm Attila, & Seaspan Breeze, berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Approximately, 11 ships namely, Emerald Liuheng, Honestar, Bow Cecil, Gfs Genesis, Ocean Hope, Swan Lake, Msc Maureen, Ts Hongkong, Raon Teresa, Hui Fa, Gfs Genesis, & Albert P, sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of seven ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them three ships, Joseph, HSC New Lucky and Venus-09 are expected to sail on Monday.
Cargo volume of 78,367 tonnes, comprising 78,367 tonnes imports cargo and0 export cargo was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 18 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them three ships, Al-Amal, Umm Al-Hanaya and Al-Bert-P & another ship, MSC Barcelona scheduled to load/offload Rice/Cement, LNG and Container are expected to take berths at MW-2, PGPCL and QICT on Monday 17th November, 2025.
