KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 124,254 tonnes of cargo comprising 84,617 tonnes of import cargo and 39,637 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 84,617 tonnes comprised of 3,813 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 8,427 tonnes of Bulk Cargo, 5,044 tonnes of Ammonium Sulphate, 3,406 tonnes of Sugar, & 63,927 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 39,637 tonnes comprised of 15,971 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 18,400 tonnes of Clinkers, 1,916 tonnes of Rice & 3,950 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
Around, 05 ships namely, G Silver, P Aliki, Hua Chuang 66, Jira Bhum & No 2 Heung-a Ploneer berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Only Xin Fu Zhou sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of ten ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them three ships, BBC Ruby, Aquavita Bay and MSC Luisa left the port on Thursday morning, while two more ships, Hansa Africa and Zervos are expected to sail on Thursday.
Cargo volume of 202,069 tonnes, comprising 153,418 tonnes imports cargo and48,651 export cargo carried in 5,625 Containers (3,792 TEUs Imports & 1,833 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 20 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them five ships, MSC Olia, Manta Sena, Khairpur, Kaisa-1 and Horizon-I carrying Container, Sugar, Gas oil and LPG are expected to take berths at QICT, MW-2, FOTCO, EVTL and SSGC on Thursday 13th November, 2025.
