KOCHI: Japan’s trade agreement with the United States is a “very big progress” that reduces uncertainty over the economic outlook, Bank of Japan Deputy Governor Shinichi Uchida said on Wednesday.
Trump strikes trade deal with Japan to cut tariffs
Given receding uncertainty surrounding trade negotiations, the likelihood of Japan sustainably achieving the central bank’s2% target has heightened, Uchida told a news conference.
