TEXT: “The Protection against Harassment of Women at the Workplace”

National Working Women's Day 22nd December, 2024 "National Working Women's day" is celebrated on December 22 every year to acknowledge and recognize the valuable contribution of working women in Pakistan in socio-economic development. Despite all odds female folk is confronted with, working women have not given up their relentless endeavor and commitment to workshoulder-to-shoulder with men. This day aims to promote gender equality in the workplace and now the chimes of clock says time has come to remind that women must be provided water-tight safety at workplace so that the pace of progress can be accelerated through empowerment, awareness, education of women.

The Provincial Ombudsman Protection against Harassment of Women at Workplace Sindh is committed to ensuring a safe, secure and congenial workplace environment for working women. I believe women have knowledge, courage and valor to make a positive change. Their silence should be given a voice. This can only be done through raising awareness and sensitization of society. Insecure, intimidating and hostile work environment is an impediment that refrain female folk to actualize their actual potential and prevent their participation in the mainstream national development and nation building.
