Whatever happening in Afghanistan these days clearly shows one thing: the country , unfotunately, is moving towards a massive collapse. Yesterday, for example, a bomb ripped through a vehicle carrying a Taliban police chief in Afghanistan's Asadabad, killing him and wounding 11 others. Although no one has claimed responsibility, the attack appears to be an activity on the part of ISIS that has waged a war against Taliban since the takeover of Kabul by the latter. The world community's ambivalent approach to the de facto rulers of Afghanistan seems to have emboldened ISIS to step up violence in this landlocked country. Is the world community waiting for Afghanistan's collapse? It is, however, interesting to note that while Russia, an important player in the Syria theatre, expects Taliban to vanquish ISIS, it is still not willing to accept the legitimacy of the new Afghan government.
