KARACHI: At least four people have lost their lives in Karachi as torrential rain wreaked havoc on Wednesday night. According to details, woman and her three children have died as a roof of a house collapsed due to heavy rain in Orangi Town's MPR Colony, after being trapped under the debris of the house.
Getting the information, rescue teams reached the spot and retrieved the bodies from the debris. The bodies have been moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Rescue operation at the site is underway as other people are being feared trapped in the rubble.
It may be mentioned here that a thunderstorm had lashed Karachi late Wednesday night, inundating low-lying roads and other areas in different parts of the city.
