Bahria University holds online global conference on ‘Pak-Sino Partnership’

ISLAMABAD: Bahria University Islamabad organised an online international conference on “Pak-Sino Partnership: Prospects and Challenges in Higher Education Collaboration.”

Ali Muhammad Khan, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, was the Chief Guest of the ceremony.

Nong Rong, China’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Moin ul Haque, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China and other officials attended the event.

According to a press release, the objective of the conference was to provide Pakistani and Chinese academicians and practitioners a platform to present their knowledge and experience regarding potential areas of academic partnership between China and Pakistan.

The conference focused on various themes highlighting different modes of academic collaboration including Sino-Pak bilateral research partnership, short-term exchange and split programmes, scholarships, China-Pakistan Economic Corridor) and cross-border industry-academia linkages as well as commercialisation of applied research through Business Innovation Centre (BIC) and Science and Technology Parks (STP).

The speakers highlighted that higher education was the key towards developing required human resource with the skills which can contribute towards the development of any region.

This can be achieved through dissemination and conception of advance knowledge through strong focus on research and analysis, speakers said.
