Enhanced Cabin Safety, CRM section of PIA Safety dept inaugurated

KARACHI: CEO PIA Air Marshal Arshad Malik inaugurated the enhanced Cabin Safety and Crew Resource Management (CRM) section of PIA Safety Department to promote safety and further enhance the efficiency of flight operations, at the airline’s Head Office on Friday.

A safety meeting was also held at PIA training Centre to enhance awareness and aspects to inform and update its employees on airline’s flight safety performance and current practices in the aviation industry. PIA’s safety audits are conducted by international organisations and regular safety training programmes and meetings are held to enhance safety awareness.

CEO PIA, Air Marshal Arshad Malik, sharing his views on the occasion said “all steps are being taken to further improve and sustain the safety standards in line with International Aviation Standards and practices.” He said “safety is and has always been the main priority of PIA.”

Advisor to CEO PIA, AVM Amir Hayat, Captain Mohsin Ausaaf, Chief of Engineering Amir Ali, speakers from College Safety Management PAF, senior officials of Civil Aviation Authority and PIA officials attended the meeting. Captain Mohsin Ausaaf of PIA Flight Safety Department gave a detailed presentation on the airline’s flight safety performance and initiatives.—PR
