Captain Safdar tests positive for coronavirus

Captain (retd) Safdar tested positive on Monday for the novel coronavirus.
According to local media reports, he has been shifted to Lahore's Sharif Medical City Hospital. The husband of Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz Vice-President Maryam Nawaz, had been campaigning in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) for the upcoming election.
Pakistan Peoples Party leader Qamar Zaman Kaira, who was also campaigning with Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in GB has also contracted the novel virus.
The top leaders of all political parties are campaigning in GB ahead of the election on November 15. They have organized large public gatherings while violating the coronavirus guidelines.
During a meeting today, the National Command and Operation Centre said that the positivity rate in Gilgit has climbed to 15.38 %, which is the third-highest in the country after Hyderabad and Multan.
