Kashmir will never become a part of India, Pakistan tells UN

In reply to the statement by the representative of India at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session, Pakistan has said that India has no claim to Indian-occupied Kashmir (IoK) than that of a military occupier and the occupied valley will never become a part of it.

Pakistan's permanent mission to the UN Zulqarnain Chheena said that India is compelled to use naked force to impose its occupation on an unwilling and oppressed people. "Ask the people of Kashmir and they will tell you emphatically that IoK is not a part of India, it never was and it never will be."

He said as decreed by the Security Council, the final disposition of the state will be made in 'accordance with the will of the people expressed through the democratic method of a free and impartial plebiscite conducted under the auspices of the UN'.

Chheena further said that India continues to believe that it can subdue the legitimate Kashmiri resistance through brute force. "But Kashmir will be free one day. This is not only a lesson of history, it is also an imperative of justice," he added.

Saying that India knows a lot about terrorism, Chheena continued that India has used terrorism against each of 'its neighbors, its own people and against the innocent Kashmir people'.

"India is also actively involved in orchestrating, financing and providing logistical support to terrorist organizations, like TTP and Jamaat-ul-Ahrar to target Pakistan from across our borders," he added.

He continued that Commander Kulbhushan Yadav, an Indian intelligence agent, captured by Pakistan, has confessed that he was organizing and supporting these criminal groups to perpetrate terrorism in Pakistan.
