Indonesia sells 8.475tn rupiah of Islamic bonds, above target

JAKARTA: Indonesia's finance ministry sold 8.475 trillion rupiah ($622.93 million) of Islamic bonds at an auction on Tuesday, above the indicative target of 8 trillion rupiah, its financing and risk management office said.

The weighted average yield for Islamic T-bills maturing in August 2018 was 4.23021 percent, higher than 4.21979 percent in the last auction on Feb. 6.

The project-based sukuk maturing in March 2020 had a weighted average yield of 5.76688 percent, also higher than 5.69577 percent at the previous auction.

Sukuk maturing in January 2022 had a weighted average yield of 6.06611 percent, up from the previous auction's 6.00641 percent.

The weighted average yield for the project-based sukuk maturing in October 2025 was 6.56426 percent, up from 6.43954 percent in the previous auction.

The sukuk maturing in February 2037 had a weighted average yield of 7.62099 percent.

There were no bids accepted for the project-based sukuk maturing in November 2031.

Total incoming bids on Tuesday were 13.34 trillion rupiah, down from 20.15 trillion rupiah in the previous auction.

The highest bid-to-cover ratio was 2.32 for Islamic T-bills maturing in August 2018.
