Sindh police have so far appeared clueless about culprits involved in dumping fetuses of five babies at garbage drum at Akhtar Colony. According to police sources, although the case 25/12 in this regard was registered under sections 329/338-B/34 of the Pakistan Penal Code in Mehmoodabad police station against unidentified persons, the law enforcers are still unable to trace the responsible persons.
They said the police had issued notices to seven to eight maternity homes and asked them to help police in probing the case. However, no response has so far been made from any maternity home. Sources further said the initial medical report revealed that the substance used for preserving bodies was applied on the fetuses and suggested the law enforcers to induct medical labs in its investigation.
