Speaking at a "Guest Hour Programme" at Peshawar Press Club, he said they were not against Urdu speaking people, but they were fighting to stop bloodshed by terrorist organisation in port city of Karachi. Flanked by President Peshawar Press Club Saifi-ul-Islam Saifi and General Secretary Nasir Hussain, he said terrorist organisation was behind the massacre of innocent Pakhtuns in Karachi, and accused that MQM was not a political party but a terrorist organisation, which was involved in bloodshed of Pakhtuns.
Shahi Syed said that ANP fought against MQM for peace Pakhtuns in Karachi, adding that MQM sole objective was to carrying out bloodshed of innocent people. He demanded for targeted operation and de-weaponisation in Karachi, and also suggested for formation of peace committee at different jurisdiction of police stations and Mohallah level for maintenance of peace in Karachi.
He observed that Pakhtuns were representing different groups, organisations and political parties, which were needed to be united for rights of Pakhtuns living in Balochistan and Karachi. ANP Sindh President said Pakhtuns were ready to surrender arms for establishment of peace, adding that the Pakhtuns' image adversely affected due to terrorism in the country, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He said Pakhtuns were not against MQM, but the party was involved in their bloodshed and to stop further Pakhtuns influx in Karachi. He said they had raised voice for rights of Pakhtuns and remained firm against terrorist organisation MQM. "We will not tolerate more bloodshed and discrimination of people speaking different languages in Karachi, including Pashtoons", he warned.
ANP had always expressed its reservations regarding appointment of incompetent officer of police, who were not fulfilling its obligations and responsibilities efficiently in Karachi, he informed. When asked about the allotment of Senate ticket by his party, he said he would raise voice of Pakhtuns after wining the upcoming senate elections.
