A Pakistan Navy ship, 'PNS Babur', will reach Saudi Arabian port of Jubail for five-day goodwill-cum-training visit, starting from March 3. The visit is in line with the great maritime traditions and to further cement the existing warm and cordial relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, official sources said here on Tuesday.
The Captain of the Ship, which is named after King Zaheer Uddin Muhammad Babur, the founder of Mughal dynasty, which ruled the subcontinent for nearly three centuries, will pay courtesy call on different dignitaries of the Royal Sadui Naval Force (RSNF), including Eastern Fleet Commander, Jubail, and Commander, RSNF Base, Jubail.
The crew of the Ship will also visit different institutes of the Royal Saudi Navy. 'PNS Babur', commissioned on September 30,1993, has undergone major modification and has been equipped with state-of-the-art combat management system, torpedoes and missiles. The ship has taken part in various deployments and exercises in the country and abroad and is capable of fighting in all three dimensions.
