Privatization of non-profitable organizations to benefit country: Qaiser Sheikh

ISLAMABAD: Member National Assembly (MNA), Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh Tuesday said that privatization of weak institutions or entities would benefit country.

Political parties were not supporting the privatization of weak industries or institutions because of political basis appointments of people there, he said while talking to PTV.

Improving the management of such institutions would have positive results for the country, he added.

All the political parties including Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf, Pakistan Peoples Party and Mutahida Quomi Movement should have deliberation and sought solution for making weak institutions "a profitable organization" in the larger interest of the country, he said.

To a question regarding privatization of PIA, he said there was also need to have support of political parties so that the organization could be made profitable for the benefit of the country.

He hoped that concerned minister Daniyal Aziz having ability and expertise, would bring results in the privatization process of weak industries or institutions.
