The Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has constituted four benches at the principal seat to hear several important cases, including Rental Power Projects and missing person's pleas during the next week, commencing from November 14.
The first bench will comprise of the Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and Justice Khilji Arif Hussain, while the second bench will consist of Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan and Justice Amir Hani Muslim, the bench third comprises Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk and Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmany, the fourth bench consists of Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali and Justice Tariq Parvez, who will take up a number of pending cases.
According to cause lists, no application for adjournment received through fax will be placed before the Court. If the counsel is unable to appear before the court for any reason, the Advocate-on-Record will be required to argue the case on his behalf whereas no adjournment to be granted.
