Strict security steps ordered for Shab-e-Baraat

Home Minister Sindh Manzoor Hussain Wassan has ordered law enforcement agencies (LEAs) to take extraordinary security measures for the forthcoming Shab-e-Baraat, according to a handout issued on Friday. Wassan directed LEAs to take special security measures at large graveyards besides placing restrictions on the parking of all tow carts that fall on the routes to the graveyards.
Furthermore he instructed the LEAs to ensure proactive policing in sensitive areas and also emphasised on joint patrolling by Rangers and police personnel. Home Minister also laid emphasis on having close co-ordination with intelligence officials particularly regarding unattended baggage/parcels at railway stations, bus terminals and truck stands.
