ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly Monday passed two bills pertaining to power, Infrastructure and skill university besides witnessing presentation of five different standing committee's reports.
State Minister for Power Abid Sher Ali presented the Pakistan Power and Infrastructure Board (Amendment) bill 2017 and Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman presented the National Skill University Islamabad bill 2017 before the house.
The house passed the bills with voice voting and clause by clause.
Speaking on the bill, Baligh thanked the house for passing the bill of National Skill University and said this bill had great importance .
He said after passing of this bill first National Skill University would be established in Islamabad and standardize technical and vocational education would be provided to the students.
Meanwhile, MNA Naseema Penezai on behalf of Muzammil Qureshi presented the Periodical Report of Standing Committee on Communications for the period January-June, 2016. Chairman Standing Committee on House and Library Murtza Javed Abbasi presented the Periodical Report of the committee for the period January-June, 2017.
MNA Amira Khan on behalf of Dr Shezra Mansab Ali Kharal and Shugufta Jumani presented two Periodical Reports of the Standing Committee on Parliamentary Affairs for the period January-June, 2017 and Standing Committee on Religious Affairs and Inter-faith for the period January-June 2017.
Chairman Standing Committee on Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Pir Muhammad Aslam Bodla presented the Periodical Report of the committee for the period January-June, 2017.
