Chairman, Businessmen Group and former President KCCI, Siraj Kassam Teli, Tahir Khaliq, M Zubair Motiwala, Haroon Farooki and Anjum Nisar, Vice Chairmen Businessmen Group & former Presidents, Sitting President, Muhammad Saeed Shafiq, Senior Vice President, Talat Mahmood, Vice President, Junaid Esmail Makda and Managing Committee Members briefed in a Press Statement about the joint establishment of Crisis Management Cell at the premises of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The statement informed that this Crisis Management Cell would tackle the cases of kidnapping, extortions and ransom from business and industrial community. Any businessman becoming the victim of such crimes could contact at (Tel: 99218016) for lodging complaint.
The formation of Crisis Management Cell is the outcome of the announcement made on Monday by A Rehman Malik, Federal Minister of Interior, Federal Government at a meeting held at KCCI attended by the Federal Minister, Dr Muhammad Farooq Sattar, MNA and other Government dignitaries to devise a counter strategy against increasing crimes and harassment activities in the city especially targeted to business and industrial community. It was announced that to deal with such cases a taskforce would be made consisting of representatives from KCCI, Police, Rangers, Intelligence and other Law enforcement agencies.-PR
