Bollywood A-listers gang-up against Kangana Ranaut

The Kangana-Hrithik controversy has been making rounds for a while now with the former making some serious accusations regarding the latter. After keeping mum for quite some time, Hrithik Roshan has hit back hard with his response to the allegations made by Kangana Ranaut.

After Hrithik Roshan’s statement, Bollywood film fraternity took Hrithik’s side and form a ‘we support Hrithik Roshan club’. Actors like Sonam Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Yami Gautam, Twinkle Khanna, Shabana Azmi, Ronit Roy and Karan Johar came into action and start endorsing him.

Farhan Akhtar drafted a long and detailed open letter stating, “Just because Kangana is a woman, we shouldn’t ‘discriminate’ and we should keep our judgement restrained till the truth is out”. While Sonam Kapoor supported Akhtar saying, “Well written and very fair Farhan. I concur”.

Yami Gautam in recent Facebook post wrote, “Just because this is a fight between a man and a woman does not mean it has to be a fight between genders. Making everything a gender issue can easily distract us from addressing legit sexist issues that plague our society. Let the facts be unearthed and until then, let's reserve our judgments”.

Shabana Azmi tweeted,

As Hrithik found support in most of the Bollywood stars, he also made a humble plea to everyone to stop taking sides. “I am extremely thankful to people who have supported me in this painfully unfortunate episode. But my request to all friends and observers would be to stop taking sides in this issue. This is an unfortunate issue and not a contest of sorts. Before this is dangerously hijacked into a man vs woman, insider vs outsider, privileged vs non privileged, issue we must stop. Please don't support me. Don't take sides,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, Kangana has remained tight lipped on Hrithik and B-town’s reaction but her sister Rangoli has been tweeting vigorously against all those who have supported the ‘Kaabil’ actor.
