KARACHI: Two ships carrying LPG and furnace oil were berthed at Engro Vopak Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Monday, November 14.
Meanwhile three more ships carrying containers, palm oil and furnace oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy remained at the Port at 62% on Monday where nine ships namely C.V Maersk Utah, M.V Alexi, M.V Safina-2, M.T Golden Ambrosia, M.T Bunga Alamanda, M.V Al-Salam-II, M.T Siva Coral, M.T Fair Spirit and M.V Kiran Africa were occupied at PQA berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice, chemicals, Palm oil, diesel oil, furnace oil and sunflower seeds respectively during last 24 hours.
Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 59,373 tonnes, comprising 50,551 tonnes imports and 8,822 tonnes exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in 426 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port.
Two ships M.V Kiran Africa and M.T Siva Coral sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning.
Three ships C.V Maersk Kalamata, C.V Deira and M.V Abdul Aziz Arab scheduled to load/offload containers and cement are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Tuesday, November 15, while two more ships C.V ACX Marguerite and C.V OOCL Sanfrancisco are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Wednesday, November 16.
