HONG KONG: Hong Kong shares rose 2.40 percent by the end of the morning session on Monday as traders welcomed the nomination of a new leader for Italy, easing concerns over the eurozone debt crisis.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index was 458.44 points up at 19,595.61 on turnover of HK$28.06 billion ($3.61 billion).
