ISLAMABAD: Dr Israr Shah former Advisor to Prime Minister on Sunday insisted the government to constitute independent Commission to investigate the extra-ordinary increase in assets of ruling elite, their relatives and friends.
Addressing a press conference here, he said the assets must be made public and money brought to country as 97 billion dollars are deposited in foreign accounts.
Dr Israr said in TV Talk-show the impression was given that he was blessed by the Party and President Asif Ali Zardari. He said he fought at ideological front for forty years due to which Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and President Asif Ali Zardari entrusted him the responsibility of party organization.
"I value them both and publicly declare on oath that military regimes offered me far better choices but due to loyalty to Bhutto family, I preferred to be a servant of Shaheed BB," he said. He said political offices were not blessing but responsibilities.
