Gas load management plan prepared for winter season
ISLAMABAD: Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Dr Asim Hussain has said that gas load management plan had been prepared for the winter season, according to which the gas facility would not be available for industries and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations for three days in a week.
Talking to the State Television, he said that domestic consumers would not suffer due to gas load management plan.
To a question, Dr Asim said that Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) industry could not be promoted due to cartels.
The Petroleum Minister warned that severe punishment would be given to those involved in the gas pilferage. He said that there were laws for gas theft in the Pakistan Panel Code.
Replying to a question, he said that this was also the responsibility of departments concerned to monitor the gas pilferage cases.
He suggested that CNG sector should work under Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
He said that the first auto LPG station would be inaugurated soon after Eid-ul-Azha.
