Plan to import 211 new buses for city

LAHORE: The Lahore Transport Company (LTC) has planned to import 211 new buses from China for providing transport facility to the people in the provincial capital.

Some 56 buses have arrived at Karachi Port that will reach Lahore within 20 days and it will be made operational for improving the public transport facility.

Talking to APP on Thursday, Muhammad Amjad, spokesman of LTC said that the LTC would bring 155 more buses in the next couple of months.

He said that only 300 buses were providing transport facility to the commuters in various routes of the city, but most of them were in poor condition. However, all the buses would soon be repaired, he added.
